Extra Curricular Activities and Events

The heart of General Vanier is its teachers, parents and volunteers who help to create vibrant and diverse extra-curricular activities, field trips, fundraisers and events all year long.

Art, Music and Drama

Choir (Cycles 1, 2 & 3)

General Vanier has a junior and senior choir with approximately 100 students. They take part in all of our events, including our Christmas and June shows.

Band (Cycles 1, 2 & 3)

This endeavour started in 2007 and is continuing to grow.

Academic and Cultural

Code Green (Cycle 3)

General Vanier boasts an environmental club that focuses on a different project each year to help our school become more ecologically responsible.

Science Fair (Kdg, Cycles 1, 2 and 3)

Here at GV, we believe that all our students should be able to showcase their scientific discoveries. We host an in-house annual science fair, and a selection of students continue their journey to the regional Expo-Sciences Hydro-Quebec.

P.E.L.O. Classes (Italian)

Four times a week, during the lunch period, P.E.L.O. classes are provided, where students have the opportunity to study their culture's language. They learn to appreciate the customs and achievements of people in their community, while learning to read and write.
